Find Downloaded in iPhone

Don't worry if you're tearing your hair out trying to find that important document—probably it's hiding in the Files app. Also, if you saved a photo from the web or another app, it will appear in the Photos app. The music you've downloaded from Apple is available in the Music app's Downloaded section.

Method 1: Finding Downloaded Files

Launch the Files app. It's the blue-and-white folder icon on your home screen and/or in the App Library's Productivity & Finance section.

When you tap the Save to Files option on a file, you're prompted to select a location for saving it. You'll have the option to save to On My iPhone, iCloud Drive, and possibly other cloud drives, depending on your settings. If you downloaded a file this way, it will be available in the Files app.

If you're looking for a photo you saved from the web, an app, or a message, it's likely to be in the Photos app rather than the Files app.

In the bottom-right corner, tap Browse. You can skip this step if you're already on a screen that says "Browse" at the top.

On My iPhone, press the button. It's at the top, under the "Locations" header. Depending on how you downloaded the file, you might find it right here in the main On My iPhone folder.

In this section, you'll also find an iCloud Drive folder, as well as any other cloud drive services you've set up on your phone. You may also find downloaded files if you tap one of these folders.

Select the Downloads folder. It's the blue folder with the downward-pointing arrow in the middle. This is where you'll usually find downloaded files like PDFs, documents, audio files, and images that you didn't save to your Photos app.

Method 2: Finding Downloaded Music

Launch the Music app on your iPhone. On the home screen and/or in the App Library, look for the red-and-white music note icon.

Select Library. It's the three overlapping squares with a music note icon at the bottom of the screen.

Select Downloaded. On the Library page, it's one of the categories. This brings up yet another list of categories.

To view downloaded music, select a category. Tap Artists, for example, to view your downloads by artist.

Method 3: Finding Downloaded Apps

At the top, tap the App Library search bar. This displays a list of all the apps that are currently installed on your iPhone.

Swipe left across the home screen to access the App Library. This screen may require multiple swipes to access. When you see a search bar at the top that says "App Library" and several categorized folders, you've arrived.

Tap the App Library search bar at the top. This displays a list of all the apps on your iPhone that are currently installed.

To find an app, type its name into the search bar. If you know the app's name, type it into the search bar to find it in the list.
